Hundreds of Married Couples from Nyakibale Catholic Parish, Kabale Diocese have today renewed their vows during mass organized to celebrate Labor Day at the parish premises in Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.
The Catholic Church uses Labor Day to celebrate the existence of the holy Family and its contribution to the church as well as the country.
The Nyakibale Parish Priest Father Silverino Twinomugisha who presided over the renewal of vows noted that the clergy is concerned about the stability of the families they lead and asked the couples to respect their vows for the betterment of their families.
The Kabale Diocesan coordinator of Justice and Peace also a member of the clergy at Nyakibale Parish Rev Father Ndyomugabe Baritazari noted that in the current times, illiterate families have no future and therefore advised parents to prioritize the education of their children over material wealth.
The Parish chairperson of the Holy Family movement Nalongo Nyehangane Anita asked members to show their spouses true love and work hard towards developing their families.
