Hundreds gathered at Christ the King Parish in Rukungiri to bid farewell to Robert Arinaitwe, the late director of Ayebare Yesu Transporters, who tragically died in a road accident on the Rukungiri-Ntungamo road.
Arinaitwe, along with six others, perished in a devastating collision at Kakiika in Nyamunuka Town Council. The taxi (reg no UBN337H) he was traveling in was struck by a bus (reg no UAP385U) from Kasaba Bus Company heading from Kampala to Rukungiri.

She expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her during this difficult time. Robert leaves behind five children and two grandchildren.
Survivor Godfrey Nshabiire, who was also in the taxi, recounted the severity of the accident, emphasizing the need for faith and divine protection during travels.
Byaruhanga Chrysostom Rwakaana, Chairperson of the Rukungiri District Business Community, praised Robert as a trustworthy and cooperative entrepreneur who made significant contributions to the transport sector and employment.
Rev. Fr. Conald Atuheire from Nyakibale Parish offered words of comfort, stating that Robert’s passing was part of God’s plan, encouraging the family to stay strong amidst their grief.
Among the mourners were members of the business community, clergy, and political figures, including Rukungiri District Woman MP Hon.
