Hon. Mary Paul, the aspiring Woman Member of Parliament for Rukungiri District, has rallied residents of Kitabata Cell, Bugangari Subcounty, to embrace unity, cooperation, and togetherness for collective progress.

While addressing mourners at a burial ceremony in Kitabata Cell, Katoma Parish, Hon. Mary Paul emphasized the importance of communal harmony, stating that success is achievable when people work together. Speaking on behalf of the Boona FM family, she praised the gift of life and comforted the bereaved family, urging them to remain strong, describing death as a “minor challenge” in life.

Hon. Mary Paul further encouraged creativity and innovation in the community, noting the legacy of the late Lawrence Nkuratire, a renowned carpenter and father to Brigade Muhwezi, a player with the Boona FM Football Club. She pledged to tirelessly work towards the provision of electricity, water, and road infrastructure. Additionally, she promised to establish a new technical institute in Rujumbura Constituency to empower youth with handcraft skills after the forthcoming elections.

Bishop Mbanawe Jackson of the Born Again faith urged the late Lawrence’s son, Brigade, to carry on his father’s carpentry legacy, emphasizing it as a profitable venture. He commended Hon. Mary Paul for her previous service in Rubabo Constituency and encouraged the electorate in Rukungiri to support her with overwhelming numbers at the polls.

Boona FM director Maanige Wenceslas comforted the bereaved family and hailed Brigade’s discipline and commitment during Boona activation matches, especially the Ekiguturo events. He also lauded Hon. Mary Paul’s vision, noting her potential to spearhead the establishment of Boona TV.

The late Lawrence Nkuratire, born in 1962, is survived by a wife, six children, and two grandchildren in Kitabata Cell, Katoma Parish, Bugangari Subcounty, Rukungiri District.
