Free and Rich Uganda has launched a National Resistance Movement (NRM) mobilization team in Ntungamo Sub-county, Ntungamo District. The launch, held yesterday evening at Kabahabi Church of Uganda, was officiated by Rodgers Aijuka, the Director of Free and Rich Uganda, who was appointed by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to spearhead NRM mobilization efforts ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Speaking at the event, Aijuka revealed that the selected mobilization team will reach out to every household in Ntungamo to rally support for the ruling party. He expressed confidence that the NRM will secure 99% victory across all positions in the district.

Aijuka noted that the appointed mobilizers have undergone training in patriotism and integrity to ensure they conduct their work transparently and avoid corruption. He emphasized that the team’s goal is to convince even opposition supporters to embrace NRM values.

He further pledged to reconcile all members who lost in the NRM primaries but wish to contest as independents, encouraging them to rally behind official party flag bearers. Aijuka commended President Museveni for championing key government programs such as the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, and for maintaining peace, security, and freedom in Uganda. He reiterated the President’s theme for the 2026–2031 term: “Protecting the Gains.”

The NRM Chairperson for Ntungamo Sub-county, Kiza Godfrey, also pledged full support for all NRM flag bearers. However, he appealed to government to address challenges in the health sector, improve road infrastructure, and resolve the ongoing strike by humanities teachers so that children can resume school.

Meanwhile, members of the newly appointed mobilization team, including Norah Kyotungire and Anold Tumutegerize from Butare Parish, vowed to visit every household to mobilize support for the President, whom they credited for bringing peace and stability to Uganda—unlike neighboring countries such as Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo that are marred by conflicts.

However, some mobilizers such as Philip Salongo and Jameson Turinawe appealed to the President to prioritize improving health facilities, fighting corruption, and curbing bribery within the police force. They noted that once these challenges are addressed, NRM’s victory across the country will be assured, given Uganda’s peace and stability.
