The police in Kabale are currently searching for a motor vehicle involved in a fatal accident that claimed the life of a 49-year-old woman named Charity Musimenta.
She was a resident of Nyamukana village in Bugarama parish, Kabale district.
The tragic incident occurred on November 6, 2023, around 10:30 AM at Nyakyigugwe trading center in Kaharo sub-county, along the Kabale-Mbarara highway.
According to reports, on the mentioned date and time, Charity Musimenta was crossing the road to her home when she was struck and killed instantly by an unidentified speeding vehicle heading towards Kabale Town.
The accident scene was examined by ASP Mucunguzi, the officer in charge of traffic in Kabale, with assistance from PC Uwimana. The victim’s body was subsequently transported to Kabale referral hospital for a postmortem examination.
Currently, the police are conducting an investigation to identify and locate the vehicle responsible for this tragic incident.
