Fr. Fidel urged that such progress should not be limited to parish-level projects but should also extend to individual households to promote sustainable development at all levels.
He further advised SACCO staff to educate borrowers on proper financial management, ensuring that loans are used wisely and sustainably.
Fr. Cornald Atuhiire, the Parish Priest of Nyakibale, expressed his gratitude for witnessing the successful opening of the new SACCO building, attributing its completion to the power of prayer. He emphasized that they had held numerous prayer sessions for the project, and its realization was a testament to faith and perseverance.
He also revealed that Nyakibale Parish plans to construct two additional buildings before the end of the year.
Fr. Cornald acknowledged the challenges faced before the expansion, noting that the SACCO previously struggled with limited space, leading to congestion. He emphasized that the new facility will enhance service delivery to their clients.
Nyakibale Development SACCO’s General Manager, Mr. Peterson Kaziire, applauded members for their overwhelming support, which contributed to the successful completion of the building.
He explained that the new premises were designed to provide ample space for customers, ensuring improved service delivery. He further stated that with this development, they expect to operate for over 30 years without facing congestion issues.
Ms. Fortunate Akanyihayo, the SACCO Board Chairperson, commended members for their continuous support and encouraged customers to take full advantage of the SACCO’s services.
She emphasized the need for unity among members and staff to foster further growth. Additionally, she urged SACCO members to practice financial discipline by utilizing loans productively to enhance their economic well-being.
