Residents of Nyamweru Sub-county in Rubanda District have been called upon to support a local family that has been blessed with triplets, following a successful delivery at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital.
The three baby girls were born on 5th January 2026 through a cesarean section to Mr. Gideon Agaba and his wife, Ms. Miria Keneema of Hakishenyi Village. The safe delivery increased the couple’s family to six children and has been described by the parents as a rare blessing from God.
Health workers at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital confirmed that both the mother and the newborns are in stable condition and responding well to postnatal care. The family has since returned home as they prepare to raise the three infants.
However, while celebrating the arrival of the triplets, the parents say the responsibility of caring for three newborns at once comes with significant demands. The family relies mainly on subsistence farming and occasional casual labour, which provides limited income.
The parents say they will require support to meet the babies’ basic needs, including food, clothing, bedding, diapers and routine medical care. They noted that triplets require close monitoring during their early stages of growth to ensure healthy development.
Local leaders and community members have been encouraged to stand with the family by offering any form of assistance to help give the newborns a healthy start in life. Religious institutions, well-wishers and members of the public have also been urged to join hands in supporting the family.
