At a farewell ceremony for Ven. Edson Muheirwe at Rumbugu Church of Uganda in Kebisoni Town Council, North Kigezi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Canon Nathan Kibereta, the Bishop’s Commissary, called upon Christians to uphold love, obedience, and good conduct in their communities to achieve their goals, prosperity, and career success. Ven. Muheirwe is being transferred to serve in Kashenyi Archdeaconry.

In his address, Rt. Rev. Kibereta emphasized the importance of Christians maintaining a positive reputation and strong relationships with God. He warned church leaders against greed and urged them to focus on setting clear visions and missions for preaching revival.

He expressed appreciation for Ven. Muheirwe’s exemplary service, noting that his spirit of love, obedience, and good conduct from a young age had contributed significantly to his success in ministry. The bishop encouraged the youth to emulate such role models, highlighting that a good reputation brings great friends, better opportunities, and overall prosperity.

Robert Kwikiriza, the Rumbugu Church Lay Leader, thanked Rt. Rev. Canon Nathan Kibereta for his inspiring message and urged Christians to heed the call to embrace love and unity as pathways to success. He stressed the importance of building strong relationships among Christians for collective growth.

In his farewell remarks, Ven. Edson Muheirwe expressed gratitude to God for guiding him during his time at Rumbugu Church. He acknowledged the cooperation and patience of his family and the congregation, which he credited for his achievements and promotion.

Ven. Muheirwe encouraged Christians to maintain love, unity, and fairness as commanded by God, ensuring that His blessings and prosperity flow among them as they work toward revival.

Canon Benjamin Karakure, the head of Christians at Rumbugu Church, praised Ven. Muheirwe’s dedication and exemplary service, expressing the congregation’s reluctance to see him leave. However, he acknowledged that his promotion necessitated the transition. As a token of appreciation, the congregation presented Ven. Muheirwe with a cow to honor his outstanding service and wished him success in his new role.
