Buyanja Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd (BUSACCO) has inaugurated an outreach center in Rwashamaire Town Council, Ntungamo district, to extend its services to more customers.
The outreach offices were formally opened on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, in Rwashamaire town, in a ceremony overseen by Mrs. Oliver Nayebare, the General Manager of the SACCO.
Addressing the attendees at the launch event, Mrs. Oliver described this initiative as a significant stride towards realizing SACCO’s goal of delivering unmatched services to its members. She emphasized that the decision to establish the outreach was driven by the necessity to provide banking services and products in closer proximity to members in Rwashamaire and the wider Ntungamo district.
Mrs. Oliver highlighted SACCO’s dedication to serving its customers with excellence, aiming to enhance service delivery. She stressed that the improved services offered through the new outreach would enable members to access services conveniently and promptly. She also emphasized the SACCO’s role in providing financial advice, ensuring positive customer experiences, and fostering economic transformation among its clientele. Mrs. Oliver expressed gratitude to SACCO members for their continued support and encouraged non-members to join, citing the potential for economic growth through membership.
Mr. Kagaba Willium Ndyanabo, the General Secretary of Buyanja SACCO, revealed that the SACCO was established in 2002 and has since served over 12,000 members over the past 22 years. He noted that the SACCO currently operates three branches, including the main branch at the headquarters in Buyanja, along with branches in Rukungiri town and Karunoni in Omwirwaniro.
Additionally, Kagaba mentioned several outreach centers such as Omukiyenje and Kashenyi, among others, which operate daily. He stated that the opening of the new outreach aligns with Buyanja SACCO’s expansion strategy, aiming to extend its reach and provide better services to customers across the western region.
