Parents have been urged to double their efforts in supporting their children’s education, emphasizing that education is the key to success. The call was made by Julius Nahabwe, a school supervisor and educationist, during the graduation ceremony of 61 top-class pupils at Brain Trust Nursery and Primary School in Kasoroza, Nyakagyeme Sub-County, Rukungiri District.

Nahabwe highlighted that such graduation events are vital for motivating pupils to excel in their next educational level. He acknowledged the challenges involved in nurturing nursery children and commended nursery teachers for their significant contributions to the education sector.

Wilber Agasha, the headteacher, applauded the nursery section and the entire school staff for successfully organizing their 11th top-class graduation since the school’s inception. He expressed gratitude to the school director, Mr. Frank Mugiri, for consistently providing the school’s needs on time, which has enabled excellent performance across all levels. Agasha proudly noted that all the top-class pupils achieved the required pass mark.

Mr. Mugiri praised the dedication of both parents and teachers and pledged continued support to further improve the pupils’ academic journey.

John Ndengire, Chairperson of the School Management Committee, reiterated the stakeholders’ commitment to maintaining the school’s high performance. He attributed the success to the devoted and hardworking staff.

Speaking on behalf of her fellow top-class pupils, Oyera Isabella thanked the teachers for nurturing them from baby class through to this significant milestone as they transition to primary school.

The graduation ceremony began with a mass led by Rev. Fr. Benjamin Tukamushaba, the parish priest of St. Peter’s Buyanja. He encouraged parents to actively engage their children in productive activities during the holiday, emphasizing that while teachers have fulfilled their responsibilities, it is now the parents’ turn to ensure the children’s safety and growth until they return to school in February next year.

The ceremony concluded with a luncheon hosted by the school for all parents.
