Boona FM fans and supporters have expressed overwhelming excitement and pride as the station continues to give back to the community, this time with the eagerly awaited Boona FM Bunyoro Tour. The tour, which began on November 7th, has brought together over 200 people from across Western Uganda on a journey filled with laughter, fun, and adventure.

Starting in Ibanda and passing through Kazo, Mubende, and ultimately reaching Hoima by nightfall, the participants shared their excitement and joy along the way. Juliet from Kazo District shared her experience with a Boona FM reporter, saying, “It’s a tour to remember! I’ve never had such an enjoyable journey, full of laughter and fun, all my life.”

Fred Bihegye, a resident of Buyanja, was equally thrilled, remarking on the beauty of Bunyoro’s development projects, including Kabalega International Airport and Kabalega Stadium. “So far, so good. The journey is exciting, and seeing these projects in Hoima makes me hopeful for Uganda’s future development,” he said.

Among those participating was Mr. Boaz Matita, an aspiring mayoral candidate for Rukungiri Municipality, who applauded Boona FM’s commitment to the community. “The station is doing tremendous work in connecting people and creating memorable experiences for all of us,” Mr. Matita said.

The tour also received support from Hon. Grace Mary Mugasa, the Minister of State for Public Service, who encouraged Ugandans to embrace domestic tourism to promote their country. Speaking at Kabalega Stadium, Hon. Mugasa stated, “It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet people from Rukungiri and other areas. Many Ugandans don’t truly know the beauty of their own country.” She praised Boona FM for organizing such an impactful event and generously donated 500,000 UGX to support the tour team’s welfare, warmly welcoming the Rukungiri community to Hoima City.

The Boona FM Bunyoro Tour has become a celebration of unity, discovery, and pride in Uganda’s landscapes, reminding participants of the joys of exploring their homeland and fostering connections across districts.
