Police in Kanungu district are investigating circumstances under which a Boda Boda rider was knocked dead this evening.
The incident happened today in Nyamirama Town Council at around 5 p.m.
According to the eye witness, the cause of the accident was reckless driving by the Boda boda rider with registration number UFU 189Q who was crossing the road with the stand-on hence leading him to ram into a Fuso truck registration number UBH 433N which was from Kanungu heading to Rukungiri.
The deceased is Arineitwe 26 years son of Philp of Karukindo village , Nyakashure, in Nyamirama sub-county Kanungu district.
After the accident, both the driver and the turn boy of the vehicle took off to an unknown destination.
By the time of filing this story, both Vehicles and the body of the deceased were still at the scene pending to be retrieved and taken to Kihiihi Health center IV for postmortem and inspection respectively.
