The North Kigezi diocesan Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe has kicked off his pastoral visit to Nyakisoroza Archdeaconry in Nyakishenyi sub-county as he continues visiting different Archdeaconaries across the diocese.
The main intention of the pastoral visits is to confirm to confirm Christians into their faith and preach the word of God to christians across the diocese being the first time since his enthronement as the 6th bishop of North Kigezi diocese in Rukungiri district.
In Nyakisoroza Archdeaconry, he kicked off his visits at Kiganda church of Uganda where he confirmed 76 Christians into their faith and commended the good work being done by Christians and their leaders in terms of development.
He asked parents to embrace educating their children in addition to embracing agriculture by planting more coffee to boost their income.
Col. Amos Rutaremwa commonly known as Spencer the Kiganda church of Uganda parish head of laity said Christians have done tremendous work towards the development of their parish.
He said all churches under Kiganda parish have already embraced coffee to increase church income which will enable them to develop their church.
Col Rutaremwa narrated that as Kiganda church of Uganda, they are now looking forward to growing more coffee and doing the floor of their church among other developments.
They pledged to cooperate with the bishop in fostering revival across the diocese which will enable more Christians to receive Jesus as their savior.
Rev Obed Nyesiga the Kiganda church of Uganda parish priest thanked Christians for welcoming the bishop being his first time in the parish.
He appreciated the Good work done by Christians in making the function colorful led by the head of the laity who did much towards welcoming the bishop in their parish.
