The Kigezi Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has called on Christians to actively participate in government programs to foster the development of their households.
Bishop Akanjuna made these remarks during a Christmas press briefing held on Monday at his office on Rugarama Hill in Northern Division, Kabale Municipality.
He emphasized the importance of family unity, stating that “unity is strength,” and encouraged families to join hands with the government in its efforts to eradicate poverty.
The bishop also advised Christians to spend responsibly during the festive season, reminding them that school fees and other responsibilities will require attention in the coming year.
Additionally, Bishop Akanjuna urged Christians to abstain from vices such as alcoholism and fornication, calling for a renewed commitment to moral living.
