Police in Rukungiri district have launched an inquiry into the abandonment of a Subaru with registration number UAQ 739X.
The vehicle was left unattended on the premises of Bwagi and Company Advocates in Rukungiri municipality on the night of December 31, 2023.
The car, reportedly containing an army jacket, has raised suspicions as no one has stepped forward to claim ownership since its abandonment.
Acting on information from a concerned individual, the car was towed to Rukungiri Central Police station.
Police are urging anyone with knowledge of the car’s owner to come forward and assist in the investigation. The goal is to either trace the owner or facilitate the return of the vehicle to its rightful owner.
