Police in Rubirizi District are investigating the circumstances under which a 48-year-old man perished in a fatal accident.
The accident occurred on 21st April 2024 at around 2:00 PM at Katunguru Trading Centre in Rubirizi District.
It involved a motor vehicle with registration number T951B/T8AS (a Scania) and a motorcycle with registration number UGD 423M, a red Bajaj Boxer.
Marcial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Innocent Kadenge, 48, a resident of Kyenzanza, Kirugu Sub-county in Rubirizi District.
It is alleged that the motorcyclist was riding from Kasese heading to Kyambura when, upon reaching Katunguru Trading Centre, he rammed into a stationary vehicle and died instantly.
Tumusiime said the body was taken to Rugazi Health Centre IV mortuary pending postmortem, as investigations into the matter continue.
