A total of 30 motor vehicle technicians who have completed an intensive skilling course courtesy of the Directorate of industrial training (DIT) were today Saturday awarded their certificates at a graduation ceremony held at Kakonkoma’s garage training center in Rukungiri Municipality where they have been undergoing training
The institution that started in 2010 has nurtured many Ugandans with some currently employed by big organizations, and government, while others are self employed.




Kakonkoma’s garage training center is the first garage in Rukungiri district to embrace the DIT certification programme
Onesmus Ngabirano, an instructor at Kakonkoma’s garage, while adressing the graduands hailed the government of Uganda for the DIT program noting that learners are in position to compete nationally for employment.

Steven Nsubuga Bewayo, the Rukungiri RDC who was the guest of honor, challenged parents to embrace and endorse vocational and technical studies to combat the levels of unemployment in Uganda
