Police in Rukungiri is investigating circumstances under which 27 year old Kennedy Akankwasa a barber, and resident of Katungu cell, Kigaga ward , southern division in Rukungiri district, committed suicide for yet unknown reasons.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesman says that on 25/12/2022 at around 10:00 AM,the victim left home for Kakonkoma trading center but he never returned home
It was until 30/12/2022 at around 5:00PM, that his body was discovered hanging in the latrine at Kakonkoma primary school in Katungu cell.
Police were notified, the scene was visited and documented.
The body was conveyed to Rwakabengo health center III mortuary for postmortem.
