The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed the imminent release of the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination results.
Through an official social media post, UNEB announced, “The wait is over #UCE2024 release loading,” signaling the highly anticipated event.
Boona FM understands from credible sources that the results will be officially released on Tuesday, February 11, at State House Nakasero. Initially scheduled for February 7, the release was postponed due to prior commitments of the Minister of Education and Sports.
This year’s UCE examinations marked a historic milestone as they were the first assessment conducted under the new lower secondary curriculum. To facilitate a smooth transition, candidates undertook two different sets of exams: one aligned with the new curriculum and another referred to as the “transition examination.” This dual-exam system was implemented to ensure a fair assessment as the country phases in the new education structure.
The release of UCE results is a crucial moment for students across the country, as it determines their future academic pathways, including progression to the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) level and other vocational training opportunities.
The theme for the 2024 UNEB examinations, “Embracing Security and Holistic Assessment of Learners in a Dynamic Environment,” underscores the board’s commitment to evolving educational assessments and maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
As the nation awaits the official release, students, parents, and schools are encouraged to stay updated through UNEB’s official communication channels and media platforms. Boona FM will provide real-time updates and analysis following the announcement.
