Rev. Bob Mbabazi Ntengyerize has been officially installed as the new parish priest of Centenary Church of Uganda Parish in Kanyantorogo Archdeaconry Kinkiizi Diocese.
Rev. Mbabazi, who previously served as the diocesan coordinator for youth and children and also headed the ICT department in Kinkiizi Diocese, assumed his new role during a colorful ceremony attended by hundreds of Christians. He was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Jacinta Mbabazi, as well as family and friends who joined the congregation in celebrating the occasion.
The installation service was presided over by Rev. Canon Wilson Twinomuhwezi, the Archdeacon of Kanyantorogo, who urged Christians to respect and support young priests. He emphasized that serving God is not determined by age or experience, but by one’s faith and commitment. He also encouraged the new parish priest to serve all Christians equally, drawing inspiration from Jesus Christ’s example of inclusiveness.
Kanyantorogo Town Council Mayor-elect, Kenneth Tumuhamye, congratulated Rev. Mbabazi upon his appointment and pledged his support towards both his ministry and community development initiatives.
In his remarks, Rev. Mbabazi expressed gratitude to the Christians of Kanyantorogo for the warm welcome and thanked the Bishop of Kinkiizi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dan Zoreka, for entrusting him with the responsibility. He pledged to work closely with fellow Christians and religious leaders to spread the word of God and promote development across the entire archdeaconry.
