The new Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese Rt Rev Onesimus Asiimwe has challenged members of North Kigezi Diocese Sacco to pay specific attention to the issues of accountability, record-keeping research, effective communication, coordination, and availability of service if they are to excel.
He was on Saturday officiating at the 9th Annual General Meeting of North Kigezi Diocese SACCO at Palm Royal Hotel Rukungiri.
He informed the NKD SACCO members that the Diocese shall provide support to build their capacity but they must also take the initiative to present their capacity-building requirements.
The former Petron and founder Retired Bishop Patrick Tugume Tusingwire applauded NKD SACCO leadership for the good working environment and improved welfare which has greatly motivated the staff. He pledged to work hard to meet the members’ expectations and thanked the new bishop for accepting to be the Petron.
The North Kigezi Diocese SACCO chairman Rev Dickens Baguma appreciated the good work done by the SACCO members during the year as reflected in the good performance of the SACCO. He asked the manager to continue working even harder to maintain growth.
He welcomed the new Bishop Rt Rev Onesimus Asiimwe and thanked Retired Bishop Patrick Tugume Tusingwire for supporting the SACCO from the day it started and helping them to recover the debts of 134 million which had stalled the SACCO.
The NKD SACCO manager Anthony Arinaitwe pointed out that they should avoid selfishness and accept criticism because from criticism comes improvement and from improvement comes perfection. He emphasized discipline, teamwork, cooperation, and accountability at all levels.
