Michael Mawanda, the Member of Parliament for Igara East constituency in Bushenyi District, has generously donated textbooks to ten primary schools in the area. These schools, including Crane Preparatory School, Ruhumuro Primary School, Bwera Primary School, Mwengura Primary School, Kantunda Primary School, Ncuncumo, Kyabugimbi Central, Kyeizooba Primary School, and Jane Foundation, have received valuable educational resources.

Jafari Bassajjabalaba, the Bushenyi District LC V chairman, expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting its potential to enhance academic performance in primary schools. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts to uphold and improve educational standards in the district.

The donated textbooks cover various subjects such as Religious Education, Basic Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, English, and Runyankore Rukiga, among others.

Joshua Asingwire, Political Assistant to Michael Mawanda, extended appreciation to the Bushenyi District leadership for their support towards education. He announced that further donations of textbooks are forthcoming. Additionally, he mentioned a recent donation of textbooks to twelve secondary schools in the constituency, all aimed at bolstering educational opportunities.
