Muslims in Nyerambire 2 Central ward Rutookye town council Mitooma district are up in arms against a resident of the area for deliberately tricking them into eating pork
Midraj Asiimwe the LC 1 chairman for Nyerambire 2 Central ward says Dominic Ngirabitu a resident, had organized a giveaway party to which he invited them on Saturday.
The Muslims who attended the party say, they were served pork in the dining hall, without their knowledge.
Asimwe says rumors started circulating that they had been served pork and when he asked Domonic about it, he confirmed to him that pork was there but it was only served to the inlaws.
Robert Muhumuza the Lc3 chairman for Rutookye Town council says a section of Muslims visited his office over the matter.
He condemned the act, urging residents to always respect other people’s religious beliefs.
