Desire Nimusiima, a form three student at Kashenyi Secondary School in Ruhinda Sub County, Rukungiri District is expected to represent the Country in the 2023 Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association Athletics in Brazil slated for 19th August 2023.
She boarded on Sunday 30th July 2023 along with other 2 students from Trinity College Kabale who were selected from the National Athleteletics organized by USSSA (Uganda Senior Secondary Schools Association) that was held from 8th to 17th July 2023 at St Mary’s College Rushoroza in Kabale District.
Desire Nimusiima was on Sunday welcomed by the National coordinator Apolot Harriet at Standard High Ndejje for trials where the unsuccessful will be dropped from traveling to Huye Rwanda on the 16th to finalize trials.
The unsuccessful will be dropped from going to Brazil on 19th August 2023.
The Headteacher of Kashenyi Secondary School Canon Twinomujuni Wycliff Makky revealed that they pushed her to the bus and that the National coordinator Apolot Harriet welcomed her at the center of the trials in Kampala.
Added that she is under the country’s care and they wish her success since her exposure will broaden and her school’s name will be broadly recognized.
