Kashaka Girls secondary school in Kashari south Mbarara district has remained the only government-aided secondary school that has never benefited from government-funded infrastructural projects
This was revealed by the headmistress of Kashaka Girls secondary school Mbarara Mrs. Jolly Kabigumira at a thanksgiving ceremony organized at the school to celebrate the school’s performance in the 2022 Uganda Certificate of Education UCE and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education UACE examinations

The colorful function was presided over by the Minister of state for youth and children affairs Mrs. Sarah Nyirabashitsi Mateke who commissioned a school sick bay which was built by the old girls, of Kashaka Girls secondary school together with other well-wishers such as MTN Uganda at a tune of 150 million.

The minister went ahead and launched the construction of a laboratory block that was initially launched by the president in 2015 who was represented by the then vice president Ssekandi Edward.

The Mbarara district woman Member of Parliament Hon Rwebyambu affirmed to the school management that as the area member of Parliament She will t remind the president through the ministry of education and sports to ensure the science block estimated to cost over shs 3 billion is completed
