Kajara People’s SACCO Limited has today extended its services with the official launch of a new outreach in Rwamabondo Town Council, marking a major milestone in bringing financial services closer to the community.

The branch, inaugurated on 1st December 2025, is the fifth since the SACCO’s establishment 23 years ago.

Speaking at the event, SACCO Board Chairperson Major Gen. Wills Byarugaba said the expansion demonstrates the institution’s commitment to empowering Ugandans through affordable loans for business, education, and personal development.

“The improved services at this new outreach will allow members to access our offerings conveniently and promptly,” Gen. Byarugaba noted. He also thanked SACCO members for their continued support and encouraged non-members to join, highlighting the economic growth potential of SACCO membership.

The SACCO General Manager, Mr. Akamukwasa Yusufu, introduced the Rwamabondo branch manager and underscored the SACCO’s dedication to excellence in service delivery. He described the initiative as a key step towards achieving the SACCO’s goal of providing unmatched services to its members. The establishment of the outreach was driven by the need to offer banking services and products closer to residents of Rwamabondo and surrounding areas.

Mr. Yusufu urged residents to open accounts, save, and borrow responsibly to improve their financial wellbeing.

The guest of honour, Hon. James Hunter Tukahirwa, NRM flag bearer for Kajara Constituency, applauded the SACCO for promoting a culture of savings in Uganda, noting that many people lack financial discipline. “If people utilize the services offered by Kajara People’s SACCO properly, it can help lift them out of poverty,” he said. He also encouraged SACCO management to educate both members and non-members on responsible saving and borrowing, stressing that money should be invested or saved rather than wasted.

The launch of the Rwamabondo outreach reflects Kajara People’s SACCO’s ongoing mission to expand financial inclusion and empower communities across Uganda.
