Christians have been urged to follow the example of Christ, who was born today, and forgive one another in order to live a joyful life.

This message was shared by Rev. Fr. Dr. Julius Turyaturanwa, the dean of Nyakibale Deanery, who also serves as the parish priest of Christ the King Church, during his Christmas Day sermon at Christ the King Church, Rukungiri, where he was the chief celebrant of the morning Mass.

Fr. Julius appealed to Christians to live in a way that reflects the presence of Christ in their lives, especially those who understand the significance of His birth as the Savior and the light of the world, Jesus Christ.

He encouraged Christians to embrace a new life with the birth of Christ by learning to love, help the needy, support one another, and forgive, emphasizing that this is what Jesus desires of us.

Fr. Julius also highlighted that in a country like Uganda, which is rooted in the fear of God, people should live in harmony despite political, religious, and other differences.

He urged everyone to take this occasion to change their ways, repent, and forgive one another.

Finally, Fr. Julius encouraged the faithful to use this festive season as a time for reflection, spiritual renewal, and devotion, striving to live in peace and harmony with people of other religions.
