Police in Bushenyi District are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident involving a businessman.
The incident occurred at Kanyamaboona along the Ishaka Kagamba highway in Bushenyi District. Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for the Greater Bushenyi Police, confirmed the accident and identified the victim as James Babigimbira Kihurankuba, aged 52, a resident of Kirundo village, Kiyaga Parish, Bumbaire sub-county in Bushenyi District.
According to reports, Kihurankuba was driving from Kagamba to Ishaka when his vehicle, a silver-gray Toyota Premio with registration number UAN 387E, overturned multiple times after hitting a hump near Kanyamaboona.
Tumusiime stated that the body of the deceased has been transported to Kampala International University Teaching Hospital for a postmortem examination, while investigations into the matter are ongoing.
