Boona FM FC made a strong start in the Ekigutuuro Activation matches with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Kabungo FC in a high-intensity game played at Omupooloti Playground, Kabungo Parish.
The game saw early dominance from Boona FM FC, with Bugangari-born forward Nuwahareza Sudais proving to be the star of the day. Sudais struck twice in the first half, finding the net in the 4th and 25th minutes, giving his team a comfortable lead before halftime.
However, Kabungo FC came back stronger in the second half, pressing hard for a comeback. Their persistence paid off in the 64th minute when Mwebesa Abel Gozi fired a powerful shot past the Boona FM goalkeeper, reducing the deficit to 2-1. Despite continued pressure from the home team, Boona FM FC held their ground and secured a well-deserved victory.
The match was graced by Mr. Sam Muchunguzi, the LC5 Chairman of Ntungamo District, who attended as the chief guest and commended both teams for their spirited performance.
For his outstanding display, Nuwahareza Sudais was named Man of the Match, further cementing his place as a key player for Boona FM FC in the tournament.
