1080 believers were yesterday confirmed into the catholic faith at a colorful function that took Place at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Nyarushanje in Rukungiri District
The Sacrament of Confirmation was administered by the Bishop of Kabale Catholic diocese Rt Rev Callistus Rubaramira.
Confirmation is usually administered by a bishop who anoints the confirmand with chrism, lays his hands on him or her, and says, ‘Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit. ‘ With its powerful effects and vibrant symbols, Confirmation is considered to be one of God’s great gifts to Catholics
Bishop Rubaramira called on the mammoth congregation to embrace development projects like coffee growing.
He pledged to support Nyarushanje Parish which is in the final stages of constructing a new church structure
St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Nyarushanje is Organizing a mega fundraising function slated for 15.10.2022 that aims at completing the roofing of the new multi-million church structure
The function will be presided over by The Vice President of Uganda Rtd Maj Jessica Alupo and mass will be led by Bishop Callistus Rubaramira.
