Bishop Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, delivered a powerful message during a confirmation service at St. Andrew’s Buhumba Church of Uganda in Kitumba Sub County, Kabale District. Encouraging Christians throughout the Diocese, he urged them to shun evil and embrace salvation through God.
Drawing from Jacob 1:12, Bishop Akanjuna underscored the perils of leading a life entrenched in sin, highlighting the importance of embracing Christ for a fulfilling existence. He also addressed the prevalent issue of animosity among Christians, calling for reconciliation to promote peace within the community.
The Bishop sternly admonished those who profess salvation while engaging in sinful deeds such as human sacrifice, emphasizing the irreconcilability of such actions with Christian principles. He implored them to seek forgiveness and turn towards God in repentance.
In his address to women, Bishop Akanjuna cautioned against the dangers of alcoholism, emphasizing their pivotal role as caregivers within families and the significance of providing positive influences for their children’s upbringing. He stressed the necessity of parental guidance in molding the moral development of children.
