Mr. Agaba Emmy Rubondo, the Chairperson of LC3 Buyanja Sub County in Rukungiri District, has urged school administrators to prioritize Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) general meetings and invite advocates to raise awareness about parental responsibilities.

He made this appeal today, Monday, 14th October 2024, while presiding over the handover of pre-PLE (Pre-Primary Leaving Examinations) materials donated by Hon. Naboth Namanya, the Rubabo County Member of Parliament, to all primary schools in greater Buyanja, both private and government-aided.

Agaba Emmy Rubondo expressed his appreciation for the donation and praised the teachers of Buyanja Sub County for consistently producing high-quality results in the district. He criticized the behavior of some parents who rely solely on the government for their children’s education and urged school administrators to prioritize PTA general meetings and invite advocates to educate parents on their responsibilities in ensuring quality education.

Norman Agaba, the Assistant Town Clerk of Buyanja Town Council, encouraged teachers to uphold the ethics of their profession, reminding them that educating learners is a divine calling that comes with blessings.

Christine Nyangoma, the Personal assistant to Hon. Naboth Namanya, delivered a message of success from the legislator, thanking teachers for their consistent production of quality results. She urged recipients of the exam materials to carefully review and use them to benefit the learners.

Salary Beinomugisha, head teacher of Nyakiju Primary School and chairperson of head teachers in the Buyanja Zone, welcomed the exam materials and urged teachers to reinforce learner instruction to ensure better performance.

Kenneth Turyahabwe Rwabutegye, head teacher of Kishonga Primary School, appreciated the exam materials, emphasizing that a variety of pre-PLE exams enhances students’ preparation.

Apophia Kemigisha, head teacher of Rwamuhima Primary School, echoed the benefits of the complementary exams, especially for students facing disadvantages such as illness.

The pre-PLE exam materials were distributed to all primary schools in Rubabo County and are scheduled to be administered tomorrow, Tuesday 15th, and Wednesday 16th October 2024. The exams will be marked and the results returned for assessment.
