The Chairperson for Busiriba Sub County in Kamwenge District, Hajji Asad Mugarura Kashaki, has urged parents to prioritize the education of their children as a means of preparing them for a better future. Kashaki commended the residents for embracing coffee growing, emphasizing that utilizing the profits from this high-selling cash crop could contribute to local development through education.
These sentiments were expressed during a security meeting at the sub-county headquarters, where Kashaki addressed local leaders. The meeting was convened by the newly deployed District Police Commander (DPC) Kamwenge, SP Mugiira Kato.
Kashaki also praised local council chairpersons for their cooperation in the recruitment of Local Defense Units (LDUs) across five parishes, indicating a positive collaboration in maintaining security.
During the meeting, SP Mugiira Kato, the District Police Commander, issued a warning to some school-going children to refrain from spreading uncoordinated information, particularly regarding the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF). This caution comes as schools are preparing to reopen for the first term, scheduled to commence on 5th February this year. The DPC emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate and reliable information, especially in sensitive matters related to security.
