The individual involved in the hit-and-run incident on the Rukungiri-Ntungamo road has sadly succumbed to injuries this morning at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
The deceased, identified as Musimenta Albino, held the position of Assistant Principal Nursing Officer at Karoli Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale.
This tragic incident occurred on Friday afternoon when Albino was struck by an unidentified vehicle near Immaculate Heart Girls School. The vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision.
Following the accident, Albino was initially rushed to Kalori Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale and later transferred to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, where he ultimately passed away.
Albino was a resident of Nyamasizi in Rubanda district and was riding his motor vehicle from Rukungiri town towards Karoli Lwanga Hospital Nyakibale, where he regularly worked.
