The lifeless body of an unidentified young boy was on Sunday discovered by residents along the road in Bogaba cell, Kagorora parish, Nyacera town council in Ntungamo district. The incident occurred around 8:30 am as locals were en route to Kashoro town. The deceased, whose identity remains unknown, was found in a pipe alongside the road in Kashoro town.
Mr. Kato Willison, a resident of Nyacera town council, expressed concern, noting that the body showed signs of distress, particularly evident in the difficulty the boy seemed to have had with breathing, indicating the possibility of foul play leading to the dumping of the body.
In an interview with our reporter, Mr. Nyabagira Jackson, the Chairman of LC1 Bugoba cell, stated that he was alerted by residents about the discovery. He promptly contacted the police of Nyacera town council to take appropriate action.
Mr. Jackson suggested the grim possibility of the boy falling victim to domestic violence, urging parents to report any instances of such violence in their families to prevent tragic incidents like this from occurring.
As of the compilation of this report, the police of Nyacera had visited the scene, and the body remained at the location. The circumstances surrounding the boy’s death are still under investigation.
