A Rwandan citizen named James Tuyizere, as per his National Identity card showing his age as 23, has suddenly passed away while traveling on a Horizon-bound bus from Kampala to Kisoro.
Eyewitness Hammis Magomu reported that an unidentified individual brought the deceased onto the bus, covering the transportation cost. However, during the journey, Tuyizere began vomiting severely, leading bus staff to move him to the back seat to minimize inconvenience to other passengers.
At Ntungamo municipality, cries from fellow passengers indicated that someone had passed away on board. Consequently, the bus stopped at Kabale police station, where the incident was reported before the journey continued.
The bus, with registration number UAM 218H, arrived at Kabale central police station at 10:00 am. The police promptly responded by removing the body, and later, the deceased’s remains were transferred to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination. The bus management declined to provide comments on the incident.
As of the latest update, the bus has been cleared to resume its journey, and no official statement has been issued by the police regarding the incident at this time.
