An 18-year-old Senior Five student, Robert Kukundakwe, a resident of Katookye Cell in Burombe Parish, Ruhinda Sub-county, Rukungiri District, has launched a public appeal to find his biological father.
Robert says his late mother, Specius Allen Twesime, who passed away in 2023, had promised to take him to meet his father but was unable to fulfill that wish before her death. According to him, his mother previously lived and worked as a maid in Kakoba, Mbarara, where she had a relationship that resulted in his birth.
Speaking on his behalf, his grandmother and caregiver, Jane Kajuga, explained that Twesime worked for a Central Market vendor known as Maama Wycliffe during her time in Kakoba. It is believed that Robert’s father was a male vendor operating near Maama Wycliffe, with whom Twesime had a relationship between 2003 and 2005.
The family is now appealing to anyone who may have information about the man, or anyone who may have had a relationship with a woman from Rukungiri District during that period in Kakoba, to come forward and help reunite Robert with his paternal relatives.
“This is a heartfelt request to anyone who might recognize this story or have relevant information to help this young man connect with his father and extended family,” Kajuga said.
Anyone with helpful information is encouraged to contact the family on 0765637838.
