Following the 31st anniversary on 7th May 2026, the Diocese of Kinkiizi today held a fundraising event at Kambuga Annex to conclude the anniversary week and raise funds to support the African University of Science and Management (AUSM), which is officially opening in June this year.

Speaking at the function, the FUFA Vice President, Mr. Justus Mugisha, who was the chief guest, challenged Christians to embrace the university as part of development and encouraged them to participate in income-generating activities like coffee growing as one way of improving household incomes. He contributed 10 million Ugandan shillings towards the support of the new university.

Hon. James Kaberuka, Member of Parliament for Kinkiizi West, who also graced the function, applauded the diocese for empowering the people and urged Christians to leave a legacy that will stand even after their death. He contributed two million shillings towards the project and pledged continued support to the church.

In his sermon, the Bishop of Kinkiizi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dan Zoreka, called for unity among Christians and emphasized the need to love one another, reflecting on Jesus Christ, who commanded his disciples to love each other.
