The Assistant Commissioner at the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Madam Allen Bucyana, has commended Immaculate Heart Girls School Nyakibale for its outstanding role in nurturing and empowering young women.

She made the remarks while officiating as chief guest during the celebration of the school’s 2025 UCE and UACE examination results. Bucyana applauded the school administration, led by Head Teacher Sister Sabina Tumusiime, for their dedication to academic excellence and holistic development.

Addressing the students, she encouraged them to remain focused on their studies, work hard, and aim for greater achievements in education. She also emphasized the importance of self-discipline and personal responsibility, urging learners to protect their dignity and make choices that will secure a bright future. Bucyana further called on the students to uphold the values and legacy of their school wherever they go, by being exemplary and God-fearing individuals.

She also recognized the collective efforts of the school administration, parents, and alumni in supporting and motivating students to excel.

In her remarks, Sister Sabina Tumusiime expressed gratitude to the chief guest, parents, and alumni for honoring the invitation to celebrate the school’s academic success. She reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing holistic education, noting that the school has continued to register steady improvement in performance over the years.

She revealed that Immaculate Heart Girls School ranked fourth nationally in the 2025 UCE and UACE examinations, with students attaining impressive grades across various levels. She attributed the success to discipline, hard work, and prayer, and encouraged continuing students to maintain the same spirit in order to achieve even better results.

During a thanksgiving mass, the Vicar General of Kabale Diocese, Reverend Father Dr. John Vianney Sunday, urged students to remain grateful to God for their academic achievements. He reminded them to always acknowledge divine guidance and protection in their pursuits.

Speaking on behalf of the best performers, Alicia Ahurira expressed appreciation to the school administration for their support and commitment to student success. She also thanked parents for their unwavering support and encouraged continuing students to stay focused, work hard, and remain prayerful.

Top-performing students in the 2025 UCE and UACE examinations were rewarded with cash prizes to support their next level of education.

The event attracted several dignitaries, including former Rukungiri District Woman Member of Parliament Madam Betty Muzanira, former Mayor of Kihihi Town Council Zepher Mugisha, the Rukungiri OC Traffic, former head teachers Sister Gladys Kachope and Sister Margaret Magooba, as well as members of the alumni and other invited guests.
