Students who benefit from scholastic materials provided by well-wishers have been urged to remain focused on their studies and repay the support through excellent academic performance.
The call was made today, Thursday, 30th October 2025, by Topher Behimbisa Science, the Councilor for Northern A Ward, Western Division, Rukungiri Municipality, while distributing his donation of mathematical sets to Primary Seven candidates at Kiyaga Primary School and Rukungiri Parents Nursery and Primary School during a dedication service held at Kiyaga Church of Uganda Parish.
Science emphasized that his annual initiative of donating mathematical sets is not politically motivated but rather aimed at promoting academic success and preparing a generation of appreciative and focused learners. He implored the beneficiaries to concentrate on their studies, perform well, and fulfill the goals of the well-wishers who support them.
During the dedication service, Rev. Allen Orishaba, the Chaplain of Bishop Ruhindi Kebisoni High School, who presided over the function alongside Rev. Agnes Ainembabazi, the Priest of Kiyaga Church of Uganda, encouraged parents to continuously bless and support their children, noting that a parent comes next to God in nurturing a child’s future.
Patience Kyokusiima, the Headmistress of Kiyaga Primary School, appreciated the various well-wishers—both individuals and institutions—who continue to motivate learners, and she commended Science for his consistent annual support, which she said significantly boosts academic performance.
Parents Irene Kyohairwe and Caroline Ninsiima of Kiyaga Primary School applauded Science for his generosity and selflessness, noting that sharing the little he has demonstrates a rare quality of kindness that helps bridge the gap for learners lacking scholastic materials.
Students Abias Arinaitwe, Fauzati Nankunda, Gift Abindabyamu, and Actor Akandwanaho of Kiyaga Primary School also expressed gratitude to Science for the mathematical sets, pledging to work hard and produce improved academic results in appreciation of his support.
