The Rubabo Constituency National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders, under the stewardship of their NRM flag bearer Hon. Mathius Rwabugumi, continue with their major mobilization drive ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s anticipated campaign tour of the Kigezi sub-region.
President Museveni kicked off his Kigezi campaign trail in Kisoro and Rubanda districts today, Monday, and will proceed to Rukiga and Kabale on Tuesday, and wrap up his regional tour in Kanungu and Rukungiri on Wednesday.
Meeting the NRM structures in Rubabo today at Buyanja Town Council headquarters, the Rubabo Constituency party leaders led by Hon. Mathius Rwabugumi outlined a series of activities designed to energize supporters ahead of the President’s arrival.
Among the planned events is massive road waving and cheering of the President starting from Kebisoni–Buyanja to Rukungiri.
Brian Tumukunde, the publicity secretary and mobiliser of the NRM in Buyanja Sub-county, noted that all NRM supporters are ready and eagerly waiting for the President in Rukungiri on Wednesday.
He said that it is not true, as some people are being told, that only leaders will be allowed in the stadium to attend President Museveni’s rally. He assured that all people will be allowed, and therefore they should come early and in big numbers.
Brian added that all people will be able to get the yellow T-shirts at the entrance.
