In a bid to reduce school dropouts due to financial challenges, Mrs. Doreen Busingye Muheru, on Friday paid 3.8 million UGX in school fees for 246 pupils from underprivileged backgrounds in Bugandaza, Kafunjo, Kibaale, and Kayanga Primary Schools.

She covered full fees for all Primary One pupils and pledged to sponsor top-performing learners in selected Nyakishenyi sub-county schools.

Mrs Doreen emphasized that financial constraints are the leading cause of school dropouts in rural areas, vowing to continue supporting education and development projects for a brighter future.

Headteachers, including Julius Muhumuza Banya, Ngabirano Alikanjero Mpazi, Barnabas Turyahweera, and Robert Twinomujuuni, commended Doreen, saying the funds would improve infrastructure and provide essential learning materials.

Parents such as Kemigisha Olivia, Annet Owembabazi, and Joyce Kemigisha expressed gratitude, noting that school fees had been a major struggle.
