He called on residents to strictly follow government guidelines on conservation.

Gerald, Team Leader from the Ministry of Water and Environment – Albertine Water Management Zone, explained the importance of demarcation and urged the community not to tamper with the pillars. He highlighted opportunities in sustainable projects such as beekeeping, fish farming, bamboo planting, and grass harvesting, assuring residents that the government will supply seedlings and project inputs.

Acting District Natural Resource Officer Agaba George reaffirmed his office’s role in monitoring wetlands, reporting on encroachment, mobilizing community sensitization, and supervising post-demarcation projects.

District Internal Security Officer (DISO) Adamson Muhoozi commended the Natural Resources Office for consistent community sensitization and for maintaining unity and security in conservation activities.
