Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, has made an appeal to school administrators and managers. He urged them to permit candidates who have outstanding school fees to take their final examinations this year and suggested that they find ways to address fee payment issues at a later date.

Dr. Baryomunsi delivered this message while officiating at the launch of the Kayungwe Nyekundire group in Kanungu District. The Nyekundire development groups in Kanungu District continue to make progress, with Kayungwe Sub-county being the latest area to witness this development.

For Minister Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, this visit was a homecoming, as he returned to an area where he spent much of his childhood.

The Nyekundire NRM mobilization groups, recently established in Kanungu and spreading to other districts in Uganda, play a vital role in grassroots mobilization. Their aim is to ensure that the NRM party and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni maintain a strong presence and support base throughout Uganda. They also serve as a platform to unite people for projects intended to increase household incomes.

The event featured student participants from various schools who praised the NRM government for its contributions to peace and development.

In addition to his initial appeal, Minister Dr. Chris Baryomunsi encouraged school heads to allow students in candidate classes who have not paid their school fees to sit for their final exams. He further advised schools to work out ways to resolve these financial matters at a later time.

On Monday, October 16, 2023, senior four candidates across the country will commence their final examinations for this year.
