The Rukungiri business community has a reason to smile after registering great earnings in the Ekigutuuro Ruhigura Nkongi that took place on Saturday at Rukungiri main stadium.
According to some of the business people, the event attracted thousands of people availing high demand for goods and services which enabled business people to make profits, especially those who had stalls in the stadium.
Traders including Frank Rugambanabo and Jomba Kamaani told our reporter that they sold their goods and reached the extent of running short of stock and failing to get where to have another stock from, hailing Boona Fm for making good Mobilization which left traders smiling.
Businesses in Rukungiri municipality that include hotels, bars, lodges, shops, and petrol stations among other businesses doubled their daily earnings because more people converged in Rukungiri town to celebrate Boona Radio 6th anniversary.
Byaruhanga Crisostomo Rwakana the chairperson Rukungiri business community said the event did wonders for traders because some used to get such big money during festive seasons.
Manzi Michael Kasozi the head of Marketing Boona radio said more traders registered for stalls and according to the report, traders registered a positive business trend because their commodities were sold and profits were made as they had promised traders.
Kasozi thanked sponsors for the big support towards Ekigutuuro Ruhigura Nkoongi, noting that it’s through their support that the station managed to mobilize and have a successful event.
