Police in Sheema District are investigating circumstances under which a 35-year-old man was murdered for yet-to-be-identified reasons.
Amon Nuwamanya 35 a peasant and a resident of Rwengiri 1 cell Kyengando parish Kigarama sub-county in the Sheema District was murdered and his body burnt by unknown people.
According to Johnson Arinaitwe 46 who reported the matter to Police, the incident occurred in Katooma community farm Nshongi 1 cell, Katooma parish Kigarama sub-county Sheema District.
The deceased was reportedly last seen on 20th Feb 2023 at around 10:00 Pm at Akagando trading center, but he left the trading center for an-unknown destination.
However on 21/02/2023 at around 12:30pm he was found murdered with his burnt body dumped in the Katooma Community farm.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson says the deceased was a habitual cattle thief.
He said the scene of crime was visited by a team of police officers from Kigarama and Sheema main station and the body of the deceased was conveyed to Kabwohe health centre IV for post-mortem.
