Schools have been encouraged to establish partnerships with other educational institutions to exchange ideas that can help improve academic performance.
This call was made by Ainebyoona Brian Bantu, the district councilor for Nyakishenyi Subcounty, during a ceremony to reward the best performers of the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) at Bugandaza Primary School in Kirimbe, Nyakishenyi Subcounty, Rukungiri District.
The outstanding pupils were rewarded with mattresses, blankets, and scholastic materials as motivation and support for their next level of education.
Presiding over the function at the school premises, Hon. Bantu commended parents, teachers, and the school management for creating a conducive learning environment that has contributed to the students’ excellent performance. He urged the school administration to adopt additional strategies, including organizing school visits for debates and interactive sessions, to further enhance pupils’ academic abilities.
Cosma Kabyaama, the Chairperson of the Bugandaza Primary School Management Committee, also lauded the teachers and parents for their unwavering support of the school. He encouraged parents to continue prioritizing their children’s education, emphasizing that their commitment directly impacts their children’s future success.
He advised the best-performing pupils to remain focused and disciplined as they transition to secondary school, urging them to maintain their academic momentum. Additionally, he called on other pupils to dedicate themselves to their studies and uphold discipline to achieve future success.
Bugandaza Primary School headteacher, Mr. Muhumuza Julius, expressed gratitude to all well-wishers who have continuously supported the school by providing examination materials and rewarding top performers.
