It was a joyful and fun-filled Wednesday evening at platinum suites in Buyanja town council Rukungiri district as the district leadership and the community bid farewell to the outgoing District OC traffic ASP James Tibeijuka who retired after serving in Uganda Police for 35 years.

SSP Musa Tibakyirana the Rukungiri district police commander hailed the outing going OC traffic for the good work he did for the two years he served in Rukungiri before his retirement

Hajji Maskoyi Waswa the Rukungiri district Chief Administrative Officer commended the retiring officer for the diplomatic skills and services he offered to the people of Rukungiri district, especially in the transport sector.

ASP James Tibeijuka the outgoing OC traffic applauded the district leadership and the people of Rukungiri for the warm welcome they offered him by the time he was sent to work in Rukungiri. He thanked God and the people of Rukungiri for treating him as a son and for organizing a farewell party a sign that he served them well during his tenure.

ASP James Tibeijuka joined Uganda police in 1987 and he had served for 35 years having served in different districts like Kiryadongo, and Rukungiri among other districts.

He advised the serving police officers to prepare for their retirement.

He was among the recently promoted police officers from being the inspector of police to assistant superintendent of police as a token of appreciation for the work done.

Speaking at the same event, Steven Nsubuga Bewayo, the Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner applauded Tibeijuka for being loyal and cooperative as he served the people of Rukungiri.

He described him as a principled and hard-working man because he never got any complaints in his office about him and he challenged government workers to plan for their retirement so that their future can be bright.
