Residents of Bugangari Sub-county have been urged to utilize the opportunity of the Rukungiri – Kanungu tarmac road by starting up business since there will be a ready market for their goods.

This call was made on Tuesday by the Rukungiri municipality legislator Hon Dr. Elisa Rutahigwa while speaking as a chief mourner at the burial of 102 years retired lay leader Late Shemu Turyagyenda in Kanyakyende village Bugangari Sub-county Rukungiri district.

He said there is a need to add more effort in agriculture so that they can produce more food to sell along their road after its completion which will increase their income.

He further asked them to always contact their leaders about issues concerning the parish development model so that every person can understand how to use and utilize the money. 

Rev can Elias Mbangi the Archdeacon of Bugangari Archdeaconry while giving words of wisdom to the mourners said even according to the bible when someone exceeds 70 years the rest of the years to face earthly problems therefore and tasked them to keep prepared knowing that death is for every human being.

He described the deceased as a person who worked hard for the church during his time he was serving as a lay leader because he served in churches like Bwambara church of Uganda before his retirement in the 1970s

Archdeacon Mbangi called upon his children and grandchildren to reflect on their father’s legacy because he preached the word of God and was a strong pillar in the church.

The late Shemu Turyagyenda had produced 8 and three died leaving 5 children, 42 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren, and his widow Joy Turyagyenda.
