RUKIGA: Locals and leaders of Ibumba Parish in Rwamucucu Sub County of Rukiga district are protesting the poor state of Maheru -Ibumba-Kyobugombe road.
The road connects Rwamucucu Sub-County to Kaharo Sub-County in Kabale district, several schools, trading centers, and the Kabale-Mbarararoad.
Led by Kahiira Village Chairperson Charles Tusingwire and Saul Rubaramira, a resident of Nyamabare Village, said the road is in a poor state, and most of them are unable to transport their agricultural produce and other goods to market centers.

He also asked parents to encourage their children to work hard while at their respective schools to excel in the future.
The function was aimed at collecting over 100 million shillings to rehabilitate the church, and 9.4 million shillings both in cash and Pledges were raised.
Preaching during the service, the Archdeacon of Kihanga Archdeaconry, Ven. Obed Turihohabwe asked farmers to embrace better farming methods to conserve the soil.
